Lucasfilm and the British government are teaming up to launch a charity project that focuses on the droid star of the film. People all around the world have taken on the challenge to make art directly inspired by the Star Wars character, BB-8. The work will be a representation of all that is special about Great Britain. Many of these creations will be showcased at an exhibition in Britain.
Several of the designed BB-8’s will then be auctioned off for a children hospital on behalf of Star Wars: Force for Change through online auction.
Among some of the stars to lend their talents are Warwick Davis, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels and newer stars such as Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Paddy McGuiness and Simon Pegg.
