Bidding has already started on the North Platte Community College (NPCC) Foundation Auction house.
The Foundation will use the money from the sale of the house toward scholarships for students in the air conditioning, electrical heating and ventilation and building construction programs.
Students who are in these programs constructed the auction house, which is a tradition beginning in 1971. Building the house gives students the kind of hands-on experience and appreciation for craftsmanship that they can use in the real world.
The minimum bid will be $100,000. This year’s auction house has three-bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, laundry room, a large kitchen and living and dining spaces.
Bidders can take a look through of the home without an appointment from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Mondays through Fridays.
